    • Data will be made available to CAEP members and revisions will be made in subsequent years based on feedback received.

Challenges

  • The group consisted largely of new members this year and the group chair committee remained vacant which caused some challenges regarding group goals and communication.  Group members that are attending the CAEP conference plan to meet in person to address this.  Options include:

    • Co-Chair

    • Shorter term

    • Select chair at random

  • One consideration was to create an EDI specific board position.  This may allow EDI to be included in all board would work and ask act as a direct line of communication to the EDI advisory group.  This EDI board member would also serve as the group chair.

  • There are 2 vacant positions (Disability Advocate and Indigenous Health Representative)

Looking Ahead (Next Year)

  • Identify chair position

  • Fill the 2 vacant positions:

    • Disability Advocate

    • Indigenous Health

  • Create EDI position on the board

  • Review sociodemographic survey results

  • Revise CPD COI document

  • Liaise with members proposing Social EM Section
