CPD Committee
CAEP’s CPD committee oversees the development of robust and timely education to Canadian physicians and trainees in the specialty of emergency medicine. It's primary objective is to convey and ensure the implementation of the strategic direction from the CAEP Board in the area of continuing professional development. This will include oversight of the strategic plan as well as the strategic monitoring of the Annual Operational Plan which is implemented by the CPD Chair.

To provide education in various formats including in-person courses and conferences, online courses and webinars, and podcasts

To develop online education programs that are accessible both live and on demand including webinars, online courses, and virtual Grand Rounds

To incorporate diverse perspectives on our planning committees through representation from our Academic Section, Rural and Small Urban Section and EDI taskforce.

To integrate best evidence as outlined by our EM practice committees or from other reliable sources of primary literature, systematic reviews, or clinical practice guidelines.
