Violence in the Emergency Department

The Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians (CAEP) is updating its position statement on violence in the emergency department (ED)—a growing threat to the safety of both staff and patients across Canada. Building on our 2021 statement, the draft incorporates new evidence and highlights strategies to prevent and mitigate workplace violence in EDs.
