Dr. Jeff Perry

Dr. Jeff Perry is a Professor of Emergency Medicine and Epidemiology at the University of Ottawa, Director of Acute Care Research at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, and a staff emergency physician at The Ottawa Hospital. Over more than 25 years, he has become one of Canada's most influential emergency medicine researchers, developing internationally recognized clinical decision tools including the Ottawa Subarachnoid Hemorrhage Rule, the 6-Hour CT Rule, and the Canadian TIA Score, which have transformed the assessment of neurological emergencies worldwide.
In addition to his scholarly achievements, Dr. Perry has provided exceptional leadership within the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians (CAEP), serving as Research Chair, Academic Section Chair, Board Member, and Associate Editor of the Canadian Journal of Emergency Medicine. He also founded the Network of Canadian Emergency Researchers (NCER), helping build a national research infrastructure that has strengthened collaboration and innovation across Canadian emergency medicine.
