Mission

​

The CAEP Digital Emergency Medicine Committee’s mission is to engage, establish, and grow a community of CAEP members with interest, experience, and expertise in digital emergency medicine.
 

The Committee aims to:

• Support knowledge sharing across Canada and globally on digital emergency initiatives.

• Support members in implementing digital emergency projects, including research, education, practice innovation, and evaluation.

• Foster networking among like-minded individuals and groups to spark ideas and translate them into action.

• Advise the CAEP Board on matters related to digital emergency medicine, serving as the voice for digital EM within CAEP’s purview.

• Develop evidence-informed policies and positions to advance digital emergency medicine in innovative and sensible ways across Canada.

• Develop implementation strategies and collect essential data to support adoption and benefits realization of digital EM technologies.

• Advocate for and advise the Board on strategies to enhance growth and capacity building in digital emergency medicine knowledge, education, and research.

Vision

The Committee envisions a connected, collaborative, and evidence-informed digital emergency medicine community that strengthens emergency care delivery across Canada.

Through national collaboration and partnerships with external agencies and other disciplines—including public health, global health, health ethics, and underserved communities—the Committee seeks to advance digital emergency medicine in a way that improves patient care, supports clinicians, and builds sustainable system-wide impact.​
