The identification of a hip effusion through point-of-care ultrasound (PoCUS) in the emergency department (ED) may assist in the workup of a child presenting with an acute limp or hip pain. This systematic review and meta-analyses aimed to explore the accuracy of PoCUS in identifying hip effusions in pediatric patients presenting with an acute limp or hip pain.
