Electric scooters (e-scooters) are increasingly used as a convenient, low-carbon form of transportation in Canadian urban centres. As their use grows, so do e-scooter-related injuries presenting to emergency departments, which can be serious, severe, and sometimes fatal.
CAEP is seeking member feedback on the Position Statement on the Safety Considerations of Electric Scooter Use. Your input will help ensure the recommendations are practical, relevant, and reflective of frontline emergency medicine experience across Canada.
