Position Statements

As the national voice for emergency physicians, the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians helps shape public policy, resource allocation, and the future of emergency care in Canada.

Position statements are key to this work—concise, evidence-informed documents that outline CAEP’s stance on important issues and help guide decision-making across the healthcare system.

Contribute your expertise

CAEP members are encouraged to get involved and help improve emergency care for all Canadians. Members can contribute their expertise, submit ideas for new position statements, and add their voice by reviewing draft position statements when available. Each statement follows a standardized process to ensure quality, credibility, and impact.
