We extend our deepest condolences to all those affected by the recent atrocities in the Middle East.
Our hearts are heavy as we witness the human toll, suffering, and loss experienced by families and communities as a result of this conflict. The impact of violence, especially on the most vulnerable members of society, is a matter of great concern to us as it is to all of you.
In these trying times, our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and communities, as well as with the courageous healthcare workers and emergency responders risking their lives to provide critical care and support to those in need. We acknowledge the tremendous efforts made by humanitarian organizations, volunteers, and peace advocates working tirelessly to alleviate the suffering and pave the way towards a more peaceful future.
We also recognize that these events have had profound ripples worldwide. CAEP stands against anti-Semitism and Islamophobia. To our friends, colleagues and community suffering discrimination and persecution we want you to know that we see you and we stand with you. We encourage you to continue to be a source of strength for each other and to reach out to available support services through your hospitals and academic centres.
As emergency physicians, we stand committed to the promotion of a world in which compassion, understanding, and solidarity prevail over violence and conflict. We share our hope for a brighter, peaceful future for all the people living with the terror of violence.
We look forward to a world where compassion and hope triumph over hate and suffering.
