Trauma Resuscitation in Kids (TRIK) Instructor Course

Trauma Resuscitation in Kids (TRIK) is a simulation-based course designed for health care providers who manage pediatric trauma patients. Healthcare providers with clinical experience in pediatric trauma care, who have completed a TRIK course and meet the criteria can become TRIK Instructors.

Medical Staff

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

  • Discuss the administrative requirements for running a TRIK course

  • Describe the course outline for TRIK

  • Describe how the various components of the TRIK course should be implemented

  • Demonstrate how to run a trauma simulation

  • Demonstrate how to debrief a trauma simulation
